The Montana Lab is an editorial and curatorial practice working with contemporary photography.

We design cultural formats and collaborate with partners to bring them into production. Through collectable publications, thematic research, and public programmes, we explore photographic authorship and visual culture, creating spaces for dialogue around images.

We approach photography as a field of research, conversation, and discovery. We focus on the relationships between images, artists, writers, and cultural practitioners, developing projects that encourage a more thoughtful engagement with photography.
